Walk With Me | January

My first 'Walk with Me' post of the year is a treat, with the not often seen scenes of snow. Whilst I do hope for snow every winter, the season can pass without a sighting.

Snow in the UK isn't a super regular or consistent thing, although more common the further north you go. Having said that, for the last couple weeks of January there has been near enough nationwide snow coverage in the news, and yet here in our valley we did not experience a proper snowfall this winter until the pictures I'm sharing with you today. Earlier on in winter there was a sprinkle of snow which mostly coated the tops of the hills and such, but no blanket of white snow.

I was happy to wake on this Sunday morning to a proper covering of snow - I was delighted even. The three of us got out on an early morning walk, all bundled up, and ended the walk with a little mini snowball fight in the garden.

As I'm writing this post, the snow has now all been washed away with a great downpour of rain (much more typical Welsh weather), but we enjoyed it whilst it lasted.
