Project 365 | Days 64 - 70

This year I'm attempting to complete 'Project 365' - I compile a post on a weekly basis with the photos from the week as well as sharing a few words giving them some context.

Starting the week with a cosy - but productive - home day. Alexander had today off of school still, not as a snow day but because of a water leak. Monday is like my 'reset' day in the house, and I still managed all my usual daily to dos, just with my shadow in tow!

The only photo I took today, early morning... Although it did look like this for much of the day. You can see some of the snow still melting away.

Blogging & a biccy. I realise I pretty much only show the treat foods I eat here, so for the record, I do eat healthy food & meals too!

Initially I had a different photo to share today - one I took whilst walking to my mum's when Alexander was at nursery in the afternoon - however I snapped this one in the evening and decided to go with this one instead. Alexander and I spent some time playing board games after dinner; I love his joy in this photo & the fun we had.

The penny jar was looking a bit full so I decided to bag up the change - although it turns out I didn't have enough money bags. Whilst completing this task I felt rather nostalgic... When younger, my sister & I would always count up my Nan's penny jar with her. Our nan is no longer with us, but the memories remain precious and dear to my heart - as she will always be.

What it looked like for most of the day.

(70) Sunday 11th March 2018
Mother's Day - just one child, but presented with four cards! I keep all of my cards, so they'll be treasured.

  1. the pennies that make to dollars, well at least on this side of the pond.

  2. Hi Jade, capturing a photo a day for the year is a fun way of documenting daily life, unfortunately I'm just not that disciplined. That cup of tea has got me fancying one now, love the mug too. I don't blame you for going with the photo of Alexander playing, the joy on his face is clear, which is always a pleasure to see....I was listening to Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 today and they were going on about getting rid of coppers (money) in the UK as many people throw them away (what's that all about?), but some people were saying how much they manage to put back by slinging them in a jar. It is nice when something so simple brngs back fond memories... You are obviously a very special Mum or your lad is after something!

    1. Once you get into the swing of project 365, it becomes quite natural to snap away each day - if you're ever looking for challenge, I do recommend it.

I read a news article about the same thing, Deb - baffles me to be honest, I couldn't imagine just throwing away money, even coppers! We store ours in jar, bag them and then put them in the bank after a certain period... So far this year we've put aside over £10 doing this, which doesn't seem like a lot in the long run, but it does all add up. I hope that doesn't come into effect because it seems so silly to me.

Haha! I'd like to think it were the former :-P
