TOGETHER
This week's word has a double meaning really. Firstly, I feel a lot more together in myself - you may have noticed (or probably not) that I've missed a couple of weeks posting a weekly word and that's because I disconnected from the internet a little... Not just the internet, also other things that sometimes overwhelm me or bring unwarranted & unnecessary stress. I disconnected from many things, for my own mental health, and reconnected with those that are important to me and bring me more joy than stress. Because of this, I feel much more together in myself.
The other way in which together has been playing a part in our life, especially with this week, has been being together as a family. This week has been February half term here where we live in South Wales, and Nathan was able to take a few days off as holiday meaning we've been able to spend quality time together as a family. We've been to the cinema, gone on a nature walk, and just generally been enjoying time together as our family of three.
Nathan is back to work already now - he went back yesterday - and so Alexander and I have fallen back into our usual daily routine, minus nursery. Today we're getting together with my sister and nephew, so more family time.
Family time together is so precious, and something I truly treasure.

ReplyDeleteSure is! :-)
DeleteHaving family time together makes such a difference. Sounds like you've had a good half-term. Glad to hear that having a brief break from the internet has helped you feel better in yourself too. #WotW
ReplyDeleteThank you, Louise.
DeleteIt is precious, it does ground you, too. I'm glad you're feeling more together in yourself, and yes I had spotted you weren't around, so it's lovely to have you back and feeling better x Thanks for sharing with WotW
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you x
DeleteThis sounds so positive, well done! I miss my family, I can't wait to see them. Taking a break from social media is important - I was going to do that today but I've been on it all day!
ReplyDeleteJasmine Aurora x
Ah, I hope you're able to see them soon Jasmine.
DeleteHaha - it is surprisingly hard to disconnect from the internet, isn't it?! Good luck with that!
I am not kidding when I sob a bit when I read your entry. I have my son with me here and he is my family but I also have my family in the Philippines that I haven't seen in quite a while. I miss them. I miss them more after reading this post. #wotw
ReplyDeleteAhhh - hugs to you!
DeleteI have a lot of my extended family in London (where I'm originally from) and so I definitely understand missing them.
It does us all the world of good to disconnect from the internet now and again and reconnect with our families and loved ones. I hope you feel refreshed from your break #wotw
ReplyDeleteI certainly do, Louisa - thank you!
