Well what a week it has been... The weather has been shocking (I hope you're all well if you've been hit by storm Doris), the world is pretty much in tatters still (and is looking like it will be for a while), and I've been feeling both exhausted and drained and have now got a throat infection also. Less of the moaning, and on to the positives...
We've had great news this week - Nathan has secured a new job, and will be starting towards the end of this month. We've known since before Christmas that Nathan, and the whole of the department he works with, were going to be made redundant at the very end of March; this new job is a great weight lifted off us, especially Nathan, as there were a lot of uncertainties ahead.

READ
I finished up reading Small Great Things last week, and am in the final chapters of Swimming Lessons. I know I said it last week, but Claire Fuller is definitely one of my new favourite authors. If you haven't checked out her work, then I highly recommend doing so.
I ended January having read six books during the month. This is a reasonable amount for me, but I feel like I'm not reading as much as I'd like to at the moment, so I'm going to keep a reading record next week and see if it sheds any insights for me.
WATCHED
Netflix has season 7 of The Good Wife now, and so I've been catching up on that. I did start watching this season on Channel 5 a while back but didn't keep up with the weekly episodes and so kind of stopped watching it half way through... I've picked up where I left off this week. The Good Wife is one of my favourite shows.
HEARD
I interviewed Alexander for a blog post this week and heard some very interesting answers, that's for sure! It was fun hearing all his answers though, and I'm keen to see how the answers (and questions) will change as he gets older.
MADE
I've spoke before about how I'm not really one for new years resolutions and such, but something I have been doing this year is making little monthly goals as they feel a lot more attainable to achieve. With February here (madness!), I've made myself a couple of goals for the new month.
WORE
As with most weeks, I have nothing to report here.
AND LASTLY...
My blog has had the redesign that I mentioned last week! I'm so happy with the template I picked from Pipdig, and love the way it has all come together - exactly what I was hoping for! This is the second time I went through Pipdig for a template, and I couldn't recommend them enough.
I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!

DeleteWe've had a yellow alert for wind also, however it was way more windy the past two days than it has been today which always seems to happen when we have weather alerts. Stay safe!
