Word of the Week | Return

RETURN

This week has been all about returning and getting back to our norm. We had a lovely couple of weeks during the school holidays - even if the weather didn't cooperate - and as Alexander returned to nursery on Monday, we found out that he has been accepted to our first choice primary school (which is where he has been going to nursery for the past year and a half). We're so pleased, with that being a great start to the week.

With Alexander now back to nursery, and a couple more hours to myself each day, I've also been getting back to blogging. I do love sitting down to write posts (here & on my reading blog), however that slowed during the school holidays as it always does. I don't have a specific blog schedule in the sense of feeling like I need to get content up on certain days - I do this for myself after all - but I do have set days that are open to blogging; so that is what has returned.

As well as returning to routine, the sunshine has returned - typical that a heatwave would arrive when the children go back to school, right?! The blue skies and hint of warmth on skin definitely brings me joy. For nearly a full solid week we had a thick fog covering the valley here, so I've been soaking this sunshine up whilst I can and definitely intend to do the same over the weekend, before it disappears!

    1. The waiting is horrible, but happy to have the process over and done with now.

Yes, I have two blogs - previously I have had the two combined (lifestyle & reading), but have found this way works a lot better for me. The other is: www.readingwithjade.co.uk.

Thank you; I hope you & your family have had a lovely weekend.

  6. Hi Jade, it must be a relief that Alexander has been accepted into your primary school of choice. That's one less thing to worry about. And isn't that typical British weather? I do hope the good weather continues for you. My mum has just gone to the UK for a couple of weeks and was dreading the cold, bet she's taken totally the wrong clothes!

    xx
