Interview with Alexander (4 Years Old)

Today I'm sharing a little Q&A I recently did with Alexander, my four year old son. I've done one of these posts previously, when he was three, and I enjoy doing them as I think it's interesting to see how he grows over time as well as having his insights of the here & now documented.

What's your name?
Alexander!

How old are you?
I'm four.

Who do you live with?
Mummy and daddy.

Do we have any pets?
Yeah! A hamster I got. That's my pet in the house. It's Leila.

Do you like animals?
Sometimes. I like giraffes. Soooo tall! I don't like lions or tigers.

Are giraffes your favourite animal?
Yes. What noise it makes? (We looked this up the other day and attempt to make giraffe noises)

What's your favourite colour?
Purple... Sometimes I like blue and red.

What's your favourite vehicle?
Cars... Vroooooom!

What's your favourite food?
My best is sandwiches.

What's your favourite sweetie?
Chocolate. It's sweetie chocolate. (I believe he is referring to Smarties - when allowed a treat, those are his go to)

Do you have a favourite number?
Yeah. Number one. (I ask why) Cos it is. (After a moment) And four. That my favourite too.

Do you have a favourite place you like to go?
Canal to see ducks and fishes.

What do you do all day long?
Play!

And you go to nursery, don't you?
Yeah. I going soon. (I'm asking these questions not long before we get ready to go)

Do you enjoy it?
Yeah. I playing there too.

Do you have lots of friends at nursery?
Yeah! They all hold hands sometimes.

Wrapping it up...

What does Daddy do all day long?
Go to work. Sometimes. All day long. And home sometimes.

What does Mummy do all day long?
You at home with Alexander. Nice playing and nice stories.

What do you enjoy doing as a family?
Just being with everyone.

What's one thing you want to do this year?
(With much enthusiasm) Go to seaside!

    1. I think you're right there!! Haha! My aim is to continue them yearly, although I'm sure the questions will alter slightly as Alexander gets older.
