Little Loves | A Month of Change

With August winding down I'm jumping back in to linking up with #LittleLoves. Morgana, the host of this linky, took some time off over the summer and I followed suit, and am now happily returning on a weekly basis. Given that I haven't taken part throughout the month of August, in many ways this post is a wrap up of the month that has been.

August has been quite the month for our family, with both positives & negatives, although the positives far outweighing the little blips that have occurred.

Firstly, Nathan and I got married - I'm not going to go into too much detail about that, as I have written a whole post about the day.

Following on from that joy, we then quickly completed on our house purchase and are now officially homeowners! We haven't moved as of yet, with the hopes of getting a bunch of work done within the house before our goal date of moving at the end of September. All three of us are super excited about our little family home, and a new house couldn't have come at a better time for us; everything fell into place perfectly... Fingers crossed it continues that way!

I hope August has treated you well so far.

READ
As you can imagine, especially with the house to spruce up now, I haven't had much time to just sit down and escape in a book - sadly... When I do come to relax of an evening lately you'll find my either catching up on YouTube or doing blog bits.

BLOG POSTS I'VE ENJOYED

WATCHED
TV wise I haven't been watching much; I have now completed all of Grimm that is available to watch on Netflix. As I mentioned YouTube above, I've been keeping up with The Meldrums this month in particular and have also really been enjoying Michelle Pearson's channel of late.

MADE
Cardboard boxes, cardboard boxes, and more cardboard boxes... And yet there are still many more of them to be made as we are nowhere near packed up yet.

WORE
My wedding ring!

Having a ring on my finger has taken some getting used to. Of course I had an engagement ring, but during my pregnancy with Alexander it became too small and we just never got it resized, so it has been a while since I had a ring on that finger.

HEARD
About the newest Cath Kidston & Disney collaboration - Peter Pan; the collection launches in September. There are a lot of beautiful pieces, however as with previous collections, I do just have my eye on a cup.

AND LASTLY...
SOME PHOTOS FROM THE MONTH SO FAR...

I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND, HOWEVER YOU MAY BE SPENDING IT!

  6. Hi Jade, a huge congratulations for you and your hubby on your recent wedding. You have exciting (and sometimes testing) times ahead. It's nice that you now have your new house to focus on after all the excitement of your wedding has calmed down.
I bet you can make cardboard boxes up in your sleep now!
At least you have had a little time to be able to relax and watch a little mindless stuff. It's all good for the soul!

Thank you for linking up with the #MMBC.

    xx
