Little Loves | Photo Albums, YouTube and a School Report

With Friday now here, it's time to wrap up the week that has been with a #LittleLoves post - taking a look at the positives and little joys that have taken place over the past seven days.

After a relaxing weekend, our week didn't get off to best start with Alexander up being sick at 5am on Monday morning. Not the best start to week, and not nice seeing our little one in that way. Thankfully the sickness itself only stuck around until 9am - but it was a rough 4 hours! By Tuesday he was back to his usual chipper self, and by Wednesday allowed back at nursery (due to the 48 hour sickness policy).

Despite that abrupt start, our week overall has been good, including some positives on the horizon regarding house buying. I haven't shared much about it online, just because we have had a couple of let downs on the way, but we are in the process of trying to buy a house and things seem to be on the up now.

I hope you've all had a lovely week!

READ
This week I've returned to a tried & true favourite author of mine - Cecelia Ahern. I'm currently working my way through a reread of A Place Called Here. I love revisiting books that I've had positive reading experiences with, and feeling enveloped in a warmth of sorts.

Yesterday we received Alexander's school report - the first ever. Alexander is only in the rising 3's stage of nursery, so the report is literally one sheet of paper, but Alexander has settled in to nursery really well, with confidence and kindness, coming along leaps and bounds.

WATCHED
Recently I discovered a new to me YouTube channel - Pick Up Limes. The channel is run by Sadia, a dietician who shares about all things food, travel, minimalism and productivity. Sadia herself has the most relaxing demeanour and I come away from every one of her insightful videos feeling super inspired.

I also really enjoyed a travel vlog shared by Sarah of This Mama Life - Copenhagen Travel Vlog - With Kids.

MADE
This week I've made a lifestyle change that has been in the works for quite some time now. Right now, I'm not commiting to putting it online just yet as I haven't even shared it with everybody in my day to day life, however once a little more established I'll definitely be sharing it here. The change is a positive one, and although it may present some challenges to begin with, I'm super excited to have finally made the switch.

(I realise that sounds really elusive and almost secretive, but it really isn't THAT big of a deal)

WORE
My new bag from Cath Kidston - I needed a new cross body and found this one in the sale.

HEARD
As I mentioned last week, Alexander wanted to look at some pictures of me when little and so we went to Nanny's over the weekend and pulled out the photo albums. Alexander was interested in the photos, but me and my mum spent a lot longer reminiscing and talking over times gone by. I'll definitely have to try and get some of the photos copied for my own collection.

AND LASTLY...
A FEW PHOTOS FROM THE WEEK
Photo taken at Nanny's - love his cheesy smile | Bunchems fun (Alexander took this picture) | Playing with vehicles, always

I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND AHEAD, HOWEVER YOU MAY BE SPENDING IT!

    1. I have a backpack from Cath Kidston that I wear a lot, but prefer something smaller for the nursery run, so was glad to find the bag.

      Thank you!

  6. I hope that Alexander is feeling much better now and I love the last few photos in this post, so nice and happy! Definitely going to be subscribing to Pick Up Limes as that sounds like the kind of channel I could do with right now, as I need more calming influences in my life. Love Cecilia Ahern's books too, she always writes so beautifully and the stories are so captivating. I'm excited to hear about the lifestyle change, if you choose to share it here too, as I find those posts are always inspirational in helping me change for the better too. Have a wonderful weekend! - Tasha

  7. Ahhh, I love Cecelia Ahern! I'm not normally a lover of 'fantasy' books but I can just about push my suspension of disbelief for some of hers. The only one I've not read is Thanks For the Memories which I picked up the other day for 50p, so I'll give that a go soon.

    1. I'm exactly the same Emma - fantasy can be hit or miss for me, but I think the way in which Cecelia Ahern incorporates the fantastical makes her stories all the more captivating. I hope you enjoy your newest find!

    1. Thank you so much re: the house!

Yes! I really enjoyed Flawed & Perfect - I loved the concept, conclusion and liked that it was a duo of a series because I tend to fail with trilogies and such.

  9. Ah you've reminded me to look up Cecilia Aherne when I go the library this week. Thank you! Your new lifestyle change sounds intriguing and I understand why it's not always appropriate to share on your blog immediately just because you want it to be an established change before you commit. I always get over excited and share too early!

    1. Haha - I totally get sharing early; it is so easy on the blog because you just get chatting away (well, typing), and pour out all!

  10. Poor Alexander, I hope he's 100% better now.
I'm intrigued about your lifestyle change! Whatever it is as long as it's positive and works for you the that's all that matters.
