Little Loves | The Month of May

With May drawing to a close, today I'm sharing my wrap of the month by taking part in the Little Loves linky - the linky itself runs weekly, however I participate on a monthly basis.

- I couldn't proceed with this month's post without mentioning the horrendous terror attack that took place in Manchester on Monday night. There no words for this act, much less with so many innocent children involved. My thoughts were with those affected on Tuesday morning when I heard the news, and have remained so since. There have been a lot of poignant and articulate posts shared within the blogging community at this time, with this quote that has been shared quite a bit remaining with me (quote by Fred Rogers) ''When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping'.'' The world is a scary place right now, but we mustn't live in fear; we must come together and stand together. -

May seems to have flown by in my eyes... I feel like it wasn't that long ago that Alexander was returning to school after the Easter holidays, and here we are with him now breaking up for half term... Before we know it, summer will be here!

I hope the month of May has been kind to you, and that the coming month of June proves to be a great one also.

READ
This month I've been trying to catch up on all the books I have bookmarks in the middle of, and let me tell you there are quite a few of them! I've really been enjoying a collection of short stories by Stephen King: The Bazaar of Bad Dreams. Stephen King is one of the authors I wanted to read more of this year, having only read two of his book previously (a good number of years ago now), so it was nice dipping my toes back into his style of writing with this collection.

WATCHED
After a hiatus on watching Grimm, I've returned to the show. Nathan and I used to watch Grimm together, but then he kind of fell out of interest when new story elements were introduced, and I just stopped watching it myself also. Although it is weird watching it on my own now - Nathan does keep hearing plot snippets from me though - I've been quite gripped with the episodes. I'm currently watching episodes in season 4, and it appears that I picked up where I left off at the right time, as season 5 is now available on Netflix also.

MADE
Captured by Jade now has a Facebook page - I'm still getting to grips with it, as I've never really been one for Facebook, but I think its a good platform to be on... Although Twitter will always be my favourite social media platform.

WORE
Does slathering on the suncream count?

HEARD
Over the past couple of months Alexander has become very litter aware. Every time he sees a piece of rubbish he says 'Look, rubbish on the floor; it should be in the bin.'

AND LASTLY...
My most read post in the month of May was Walking with Young Children and I'm quite happy that it was shown a lot of support. May is National Walking Month, a time to encourage others to get outside, enjoy nature, and get walking and I hope my post did just that. We love walking as a family and it's something I'm really passionate about so I'm thankful for the outcome of that post.

I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND AHEAD & A GREAT START TO THE MONTH OF JUNE!
